Premium home care rates. We tell you the exact rate in the first call, not after an interview.

Limited sign-on incentive · qualifying positions
02

W-2 employment

Payroll taxes and workers' compensation are Kai's responsibility — never a 1099 arrangement that leaves you exposed to IRS risk or potential lawsuits.

03

Scheduling that works around school and family. Nurse aide students and recent graduates are welcome here.

04

Paid orientation & training

Paid orientation, ongoing training, and real opportunities to grow as a caregiver.

Fit check

Click the boxes that fit you to see if Kai might be right for you.

There are only two minimum requirements: reliable transportation to clients and a clear background check. Everything else — including hands-on personal care — is preferred. Experience is valuable, but professionalism, reliability, and a genuine desire to serve matter just as much. Nothing here is recorded; it is just an honest look at where you would start.

Hey, college students

The best college job on O'ahu is not on campus.

Companion and homemaker visits need no certification and no prior experience in some cases — just dependability, energy, and genuine warmth. Top-of-market pay, hours that flex around your semester, and work that actually matters to somebody.

Undergraduate and graduate students make some of the best companions we know: you bring energy and fresh conversation into a kupuna's day, and every visit brightens both ends of it. On a nursing or pre-health track? This is a great way to log real hours with a real person. Any major is welcome, and everything above applies to you too: W-2 employment, paid orientation, optional daily pay.

What a companion visit looks like
  • Talking story, looking at old photos, or providing some help around the house
  • Walks, shared meals, and outings around the neighborhood
  • Light housekeeping, errands, and a grocery run with the list in hand
  • Steady encouragement on the harder days
  • Fresh energy in a daily routine that has gone quiet

Non-medical support only. Hands-on personal care roles are separate, and a plus if you want them. Personal care roles may have additional requirements.
