Non-medical home care referrals on Oʻahu
Kai Home Care provides private-pay, non-medical homemaker and personal care throughout Oʻahu. We specialize in expediting care for fast discharge and focusing on readmission prevention. Keep this sheet where referrals happen.
What Kai provides
- Personal care — bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting
- Mobility support and fall-risk supervision
- Dementia supervision and companionship
- Meals, housekeeping, errands, transportation
- Medication reminders (not administration)
- Staffed 12-hour overnight blocks, 8pm–8am
What Kai does not provide
- Skilled nursing, wound care, or injections
- Medication administration
- Medical assessment or treatment
- Hospital-level monitoring
- Care for acute medical instability
- IV therapy or clinical treatment
An appropriate referral usually involves
Assistance with bathing, dressing, or mobility · dementia supervision · fall risk at home · family caregiver unavailable or exhausted · medication reminders · discharge home without adequate support. Private pay; long-term care insurance may apply depending on the policy.

Every referral is acknowledged the same business day, and we coordinate directly with the family from there.
A complimentary in-home assessment by a Qualified Care Supervisor, then a confirmed schedule and caregiver match.
Please do not include PHI in emails or web forms. Share the family's contact information and general needs; clinical details can be discussed by phone once the family connects us with the care team.
